GM Certified Pre-Owned Signs With eBay Motors

Buying a certified pre-owned GM just got a lot easier if you´re a fan of eBay Motors. I´m not, mostly because I´ve only used eBay once in my life. However, it obviously is the place to be when selling and buying used cars, according to GM, which claims eBay Motors is the Internet´s largest marketplace for buying and selling all things automotive. GM gets an instant leg up on the competition because it´s the first to link up with eBay´s new offering.
According to GM, its GM Certified Used Vehicles is the industry's top-selling manufacturer-certified used vehicle brand. Its 60,000-plus-vehicle inventory from 3,900-plus U.S. dealers is now listed on eBay Motors.
The vehicles will be listed on the eBay Motors Certified Pre-Owned Showroom, that eBay says is ¨a new hub designed to house manufacturer-certified used-vehicle inventory for franchise dealers.¨ GM Certified Used Vehicles was the first manufacturer-certified brand to announce a commitment to list its entire national inventory in the eBay Motors CPO Showroom at no cost to dealers.
GM also says the CPO Showroom provides convenient access to certified GM inventory to more than 12 million unique eBay Motors visitors each month. According to a GM news release, eBay Motors is consistently ranked the No. 1 automotive Web site, with 32 percent of all automotive minutes on the Web spent on eBay Motors, according to Nielsen//NetRatings.

That strikes me as surprising that eBay Motors is the No. 1 automotive Web site. Maybe because I’m not an eBay user I don’t understand the shear magnitude of their reach, but I can’t remember “eBay Motors” being a site that’s ever come up in conversation among friends about where the best places are to buy cars online. I always thought AutoTrader was our biggest competition. Oh well, just one more Goliath for EasyAutoSales to surpass
