I've been called an emotional eater and I know I sometimes buy things based on emotions (yes, I'm a basket case) but I can't say I have ever bought a used car for emotional reasons.
After all, the first used car I ever owned was a 1972 Ford Pinto - the barbecue on wheels - and it was painted lemon yellow. That was hardly an emotional purchase but according to CNW Research, emotional buyers are coming back to the used car market.

I'm sure lots of people have and it surprises me I haven't. After all, I'm a fairly impulsive buyer - especially when I hit the 7-Eleven donut display!
