- Every certified pre-owned VW comes backed by a 2-year/ 24,000-mile limited warranty. That makes a lot of sense for a high mileage used VW five years old with 74,999 miles on the odometer. One minor complaint would be VW calling its cars “pre-loved.” I’ve always thought that’s one of the sillier marketing terms for used cars.
