Insure.Com has come out with its car insurance comparison that includes its ranking of the 20 most expensive used cars to insure. Not surprisingly, the phrase that’s going to make your insurance agent smile in anticipation of high premium commissions is, “I just bought a Mercedes.” It takes eight of the top 20 positions, with its AMG line being among the most powerful when it comes to driving higher premiums.
In fact, all but four of the spots on the list are held by German manufacturers (Porsche, Audi and BMW hold the others). Dodge is the sole American manufacturer with its Dodge Viper SRT-10 coupe and convertible. Jaguar earns two spots with its XKR portfolio and supercharged.
