Put this under the category of good news if you're looking for a used Pontiac G6: GM is offering a strong interest rate for buyers of certified pre-owned models from 2005 to 2010. Through March 31, GMAC Financial Services is offering qualified buyers 3.9% APR financing for terms up to 60 months.
GM has a couple of reasons to offer this good rate. Pontiac as a brand exists no more past this model year. Plus, current certified pre-owned customers often become new car customers. You may not be able to buy a new Pontiac in the future, but GM hopes you buy a new GM.
If you are shopping a used G6, consider the 2007 and 2008 models as your best bets, at least according to Consumer Reports. It says you can expect to pay anywhere from $9550 to $18550 for a used G6 depending on various factors.
According to a press release from GM Certified Used Cars, "This offer is only available at one of the 3,400 Chevrolet, Buick and GMC Certified dealers across the nation, providing buyers with the reassurance of a manufacturer-backed warranty. Customers must take delivery from a participating dealer by March 31, 2010. "
All GM Certified Used Vehicles come with a fully transferable 100,000-mile/five-year Powertrain limited warranty, a 12-month/12,000-mile (whichever comes first) bumper-to-bumper warranty, free vehicle history report, 24-hour roadside assistance, three-day/150-mile customer satisfaction guarantee and three-month trial of OnStar and XM Satellite Radio.
