Certified Pre-Owned Used Cars Advice Can Mean Peace of Mind

The certified pre-owned market continues to be strong with the best February on record and some brands showing their best sales months ever. That's a mixed bag of both good and bad news.

The time has come to abandon Saab as a choice for a certified pre-owned vehicle in light of news reports that it is suspending all warranty coverage for vehicles brought to its dealership. The company no longer supports the people who bought its vehicles but there is some hope for consumers wanting to buy a used Saab.

IntelliChoice has announced its best certified pre-owned programs for 2011 with the surprising result that Hyundai has come out on top amidst popular brands.Volvo continues to retain its top spot in the premium segment.

The Mazda Certified Pre-Owned program has enjoyed great success in 2011 with almost stratospheric growth, which led to these questions about the Mazda certified pre-owned program.

Certified pre-owned vehicles are white hot now with year-over-year increases of more than 8%, according to information from AutoData.com, and that's a problem. The problem is unsuspecting consumers might get taken advantage of either in price or warranty protection because certified pre-owned vehicle sales are so white hot.

IntelliChoice.com has come out with its annual list of the Top Certfied Pre-Owned programs for 2010. It’s unfortunate that the top three programs (there was a statistical tie for 1st in non-luxury) are non-American brands: Volvo, Volkswagen and Mini. They ranked highest on overall value.
